Despite a few moments of eye rolling cheesiness, some instances of characters acting in ways that made no sense to me at all, and one small grammatical mistake, I have truly enjoyed the time I've spent reading this book. I'm caught up in the chase, in the intrigue, and in the author's clear efforts to appear well versed and well researched in his work. Still, I'm halfway through the story at this point and although I don't think this book precisely rivals the spectacular work of Dan Brown, it is a truly impressive effort. It might even be a rare one-sitting read for me, not counting brief pauses to write review bits here.Īnd with that said, I'm off to read more I'll see you again at the 50% mark.Īlas, life took over and this didn't end up being a one-sitting book. At this point I've been reading for an hour or so and have loved the story, the plot, the mystery, and the level of suspense. This book might actually be my first 5-star Quarterly Review it has intellectual text, intelligent characters, and a suspenseful plot that has me just about hooked.
